I chose to conduct a random experiment last month, and I do not think it went as well as I would have liked.
It did have some interesting follow-ups and spawned a conversation with a very good friend about the best way to share enduring stories.
And I have so many enduring stories I want to tell!
Another friend of mine told me that if it were him, he would probably just write a book rather than use a story to tell a game, and for so long I wanted to tell him he was wrong.
I am beginning to believe that he is not wrong, and this is only a thirty-year deliberation.
So consider this post to be a reset of my experiment and a concession that making the game before telling the story is wrong.
It is probably equally wrong to do them both at the same time, and yet, here we are.
I have my own views of the future and the world, and where we are going as a species, and what I would like to contribute to that. At the end of self-reflecting on those views, I also realize I am a few digits short of 1 Elon Musk’s worth of currency and influence in both the financial and social spheres. So my story is going to be followed up by uncomfortable silence for two to three minutes before I angrily yell “I am not a crackpot!” into the void for all thirty of the fiercely intelligent, friendly, wise people who follow me.
While in the throes of this contemplation, I am going to make sure to get chunks of written text up here, and perhaps, narrated on parts of the internet, per a good friend’s hypothesis, and tell some stories.
More on all of that soon.
